If you are booked onto a Ski Stag Do in Europe this year and it’s your first time on the snow; then this article will go through the essential Ski Gear you need to beg steal or borrow prior to attending.

Of course, as standard with Stag Mania we will include your skis, your ski boots and ski poles. If you are snowboarding, we include snowboard, and snowboard boots.

Ski Helmets can be rented locally from our ski shops. But are not included as standard. Helmets are not compulsory and are seen as clothing not equipment.

All clothing is excluded from our packages. You need to bring with you all winter clothing for a ski stag weekend. A great place to get all your ski clothing is DECATHLON. Also, TX Maxx often has good ski gear available at reasonable prices. Also, we personally love eBay for retro ski outfits. A company who RENTS ski clothing is Ecoski.co.uk – they are worth having a look at if its your first ski trip and you are not sure if you want to invest in buying all the necessary ski and snow board gear.

It’s all about layering up when you do a Ski Stag Do. Start with wool ski socks, thermal leggings, and thermal top. Next you need proper waterproof ski trousers or salopettes plus a decent waterproof ski jacket.

For your head we always recommend buying or renting a helmet. Essential to protect your good looks especially if you are the Stag!

Finally, you need ski or snow board gloves and a decent pair of goggles.

An optional extra which is certainly worth considering as you get more experienced is buying a ruck sack designed for skiing and snowboarding; ideally with back protector built in. As well as giving you a bit of extra support they are useful to put drinks, snacks, phones and extra layers in.

For your mobile phone we recommend putting it inside a sealed pouch to keep out the cold and moisture.
